Meet Heidi

I’ve been called many things in my life:

A home-obsessed creator, lifestyle photographer, creative director, color queen, boy mom, and bookshelf style guru. But my favorite is simply…

MY STORY

Capturing joy in every moment

I didn’t know I was a creative person – or that it was even an option to be a creative person – until I was 30. That’s when my photography business really took off. Before then, I had spent some time in the corporate world learning the ins and outs of business. So when I launched my photography business, I didn’t just take pictures; I delivered marketing strategy + visuals that drove real sales for my clients.

Fast forward to 2020. I went from traveling and being on site at photoshoots to… sitting at home. But, like it did for many of us, the pandemic gave me the gift of slowing down. A chance to sit back, look around, and lean into creating even more comfortable, liveable spaces.

Heidi Creative Co. was born from the flow state I found while pouring my heart and soul into decorating my home. I let my creativity run free, exploring new ways to layer patterns, styles and materials in every room. I started sharing photos of my spaces on social media, and was shocked (and glad) to see how it inspired others to do the same for their homes.

During that time, I also documented my journey to write, design and publish a cookbook of my family’s favorite recipes, staging and taking the photos myself with what I could find around my house. Sheltered & Plates brought me immense joy, and I loved seeing others try out my recipes and share them across social.

It was then that I realized a new chapter was coming. After decades spent capturing brands in their best light, it was time to celebrate and share the things that sparked MY joy, knowing that I would inspire others to find their happy, too.

Thus, Heidi Creative Co. was born.

Today, you can follow my story on Instagram, where I capture the joy of decorating my home along with advice, tips and product collections.
